Peninsula Hand Therapy Services (PHT) is a team of Hand Therapists providing
specialised management of hand and upperlimb injuries and conditions (hand,
elbow, wrist) in the assessment and treatment of:Burns Work Injuries (overuse, tendinitis,Carpal Tunnel Syndrome,trigger finger)
Road Trauma (Fracture management,tendon, ligament ,soft tissue)
Sports Injuries
Congenital abnormalities
Acquired Conditions (Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis,Dupuytrens contracture)
Writing difficulties
Fabrication of custom thermoplastic splints and braces
At Coastal Plastic Surgery the hand therapy team work closely with the surgeon and nurse to formulate the best possible plan of management for the patient.
In addition PHT recieves referrals from local general practitioners and many other organisations for management of all of the above conditions that do not require surgery. A referral is not required unless covered by a third party such as workcover TAC and DVA. This service maybe covered under the extras of your private Health insurance. Please bring x-rays to your appointment should you have them.
